Badminton World Junior Cup (Under 19)

Pazardzhik became the world capital of badminton from 9 to 12 August; the sports event was held under the auspices of the Badminton World Federation in Pazardzhik’s Vasil Levski hall. The organisers were the Badminton-Squash Club Pazardzhik, Pazardzhik Municipality, the Bulgarian Badminton Federation and “Nova Trade” Ltd. It took place under the patronage of the mayor Todor Popov and with the financial support of Pazardzhik Municipality. More than 160 competitors from 25 countries took part - Ireland, Romania, Belgium, Croatia, Spain, Russia, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Sweden, Israel, Greece, Canada, Slovenia, France, Italy, Turkey, England, Germany, Scotland, Cyprus, Austria, Bulgaria.
