BACHKOVO SPRING WATER – WATER FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Sufficient water intake is an important condition for the proper growth and development of young people. The natural composition of minerals and salts in Bachkovo spring water makes it extremely suitable for everyone, from very young children to centenarians, and allows unlimited consumption.
Bachkovo spring water is rich in hydrogen carbonates – salts that form only under natural conditions. They determine the main physiological activity of the body and maintain its acid–alkaline balance. Together with sodium ions, hydrogen carbonates help to normalise stomach secretions.
With Bachkovo spring water you quench your body’s thirst in a natural and healthy way and get the energy you deserve! Bachkovo spring water – a choice of life!
Salt composition
Bachkovo spring water is a precious gift of nature. Every water is characterised mainly by its salt composition. It is enough to check the salt composition of Bachkovo spring water to see how unique its balance is. Bachkovo spring water contains:
Ca – 73.1 mg/l (3.6 mg-eq/l) – Calcium is a main component of, and an essential element for, the development of the teeth and the skeletal system. It plays a significant role in the normal work of all the muscles in the human body. The condition of the whole musculoskeletal system and a person’s motor activity depend on it. Calcium deficiency results in permanent and irreversible problems in the growth of the body and its physical abilities.
Mg – 8.2 mg/l (0.67 mg-eq/l) – Magnesium regulates the work of the heart and the blood pressure. The body needs only small quantities of it, but they are essential for a regular heart rhythm. Magnesium deficiency causes disturbances of the heart rhythm, including in young people; the body loses its physical tone and the person feels constantly tired, listless and unwilling or unable to carry out daily work. Overloading the body with magnesium is rare – most often it occurs with certain illnesses. Water is the source that supplies the body with the quantities it needs.
Na – 26.2 mg/l (1.14 mg-eq/l) – Sodium is a powerful regulator of the body’s water exchange and determines the elasticity of the blood vessel walls. These properties make it an important regulator of blood pressure in the human body. This is why the water we drink should have an optimal sodium content, so that it does not lead to a deficiency or an excessive intake of sodium, which are associated with low or high blood pressure respectively and with fluid retention in the body.
K – 3.3 mg/l (0.08 mg-eq/l) – Potassium is important for the proper functioning of nerve fibres and muscle cells, maintains the acid–alkaline balance and improves the oxygen supply to the brain. A low or high potassium content in the body may cause severe and rapid disturbances of the heart’s activity associated with life-threatening conditions, long-lasting muscle weakness and a marked decrease in mental activity. An optimal potassium content in the water we drink is a precondition for normal physiological processes in the body.
HCO3 – hydrogen carbonates – 237 mg/l (3.9 mg-eq/l) – Their main function is to maintain a normal acid–alkaline balance in the human body; they also improve the work of the stomach by preventing increased stomach acidity. A disturbed acid–alkaline balance always has serious consequences for the whole body and especially for the function of the kidneys, lungs and liver. Hydrogen carbonates are supplied to the body mainly through the water we drink, so it should contain them in optimal quantities.
Cl – chlorides (chlorine) – 7.2 mg/l (0.20 mg-eq/l) – In the body this element usually accompanies sodium. Its physiological properties are similar to those of sodium; in addition, it affects the normal functioning of the central nervous system and regulates the digestive system.
SO4 – sulphates – 66 mg/l (1.37 mg-eq/l) – Sulphates improve the function of the digestive system, counteract the unfavourable effect of fats on the human body and take an active part in neutralising the various toxic substances that enter it.
F – fluoride – 0.48 mg/l (0.025 mg-eq/l) – Fluoride is of great importance for adolescents and children because of its role in the proper growth of the body and in the formation of the teeth. A deficiency is more common than an excess. Fluoride deficiency is one of the main causes of tooth decay, especially in children.
The proportion of the substances contained in Bachkovo spring water is balanced by nature itself, without human intervention. Practice and research show that drinking good-quality water protects the body from illnesses and lengthens life. Pure water is priceless. It is necessary for every human being, whatever their age. Doctors recommend drinking at least 1.5–2 litres of water a day, depending on age, body weight and physical activity. Bachkovo spring water quenches thirst and has a pleasant taste. Its daily use has a positive effect on all the systems of the human body. The low salt content does not burden the kidneys and prevents deposits in the blood vessels. Human health depends on the quality of the drinking water we use.
Types of water
According to Bulgarian legislation, “natural mineral water” is water which originates from a mineral water deposit, is extracted from one or more natural springs or artificially built water sources, and has a strictly defined and constant (within natural fluctuations) flow rate, temperature, mineral composition and content of trace elements and other components, which give it specific properties and clearly distinguish it from ordinary drinking water. It is microbiologically safe; its original purity and composition remain unchanged thanks to its deep underground origin and the protection of the mineral water deposit from pollution, and its production complies with the requirements of the legislation.
“Spring water” is water that originates from a deep aquifer which is not a mineral water deposit and is extracted from one or more natural springs or artificially built water sources.
By its microbiological, physico-chemical, chemical and radiological indicators, spring water is suitable for drinking in its natural state. Its production complies with the legal requirements, and it is bottled in a plant connected by a direct pipeline to the water source.
“Table water” is any water from an underground or surface source, treated or untreated, which meets the requirements of Ordinance No. 9 of 2001 on the quality of water intended for drinking and household purposes (State Gazette No. 30 of 2001, amended No. 87 of 2007) but does not meet the requirements for natural mineral or spring water, and whose production complies with that ordinance.
