More than 300 children celebrated World Water Day in Plovdiv

Plovdiv marked World Water Day (22 March) with a photography, poster or drawing competition on the theme “Water Is for Everyone”. The awards ceremony was held at a happening in Stefan Stambolov Square. Dozens of young talents from various schools in Plovdiv and the region took part. The square in front of the Municipality had turned into an open-air gallery of beautiful children’s works dedicated to water. The winners in the two age groups - up to 11 and from 12 to 19 - received honorary statuettes and plaques from the executive director of “Irrigation Systems” EAD, Snezhina Dineva. There were consolation prizes for all participants. The best works will be used to illustrate the company’s 2020 calendar. Taking part in the celebration were the deputy minister of environment and water Krasimir Zhivkov, and representatives of the Plovdiv Regional Administration, Plovdiv Municipality, the Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water, Plovdiv Water Supply and Sewerage (ViK) and the East Aegean River Basin Directorate. And we at “Nova Trade” took care of the young talents’ hydration.
