Plovdiv hosts a round table on “Alternative Urban Mobility”

The aim of the round table is to put the topic of urban mobility at the centre of public debate; it is an integral part of the European question of developing smart cities and is directly linked to improving quality of life, citizens’ health and environmental protection. Lately the topic of building a culture of getting around has become ever more relevant. After the round table ended, a bike ride with many prizes began. The cycling procession at the Rowing Canal (Grebna Baza) was joined by the Deputy Minister of Regional Development Denitsa Nikolova, the mayor of Plovdiv Ivan Totev, Eng., the deputy regional governor Dimitar Kerin, the Plovdiv Cycling Society “Tsar Simeon 1898” and dozens of schoolchildren, on the occasion of Alternative Urban Mobility Day.
