Plovdiv hosted the World Rowing Junior Championships

The world championship was held at the Rowing Canal in Plovdiv from 11 to 15 August 2021. More than 600 junior men and women from 43 countries competed for the top places. The USA team is first in the medal table with 3 golds and 1 bronze, followed by Germany with 2 golds, 3 silvers and 4 bronzes, and Romania with 2 golds and 1 bronze. Our coxless pair, Ivan Yankulov and Tsvetomir Malinov, fought hard for the bronze medal but could not wrest it from the oars of the Canadian boat. Romania won the title, and the silver went to Germany.
