Nova Trade, the producer of Bachkovo spring water, donated a computer room for Children’s Day
1 June 2016, Plovdiv - From today the children at the Olga Skobeleva social care complex will be able to develop their computer skills in a refurbished computer room. The donation was made by the company that bottles Bachkovo spring water, Nova Trade. The room has been completely renovated and has 10 new computers.
“As a socially responsible company, we have always sought to be useful to society. I hope that by supporting the efforts of the complex today and giving these little explorers this new, modern computer room, we at Nova Trade will help support their right to be part of a better world in which they can grow up with dignity and knowledge,” said Mr Ivan Ivanov, financial director of Nova Trade.
The official opening ceremony was combined with the celebration of International Children’s Day on 1 June. A flash mob called “I Take Part” was also organised, in support of children’s right to participate in decision-making. All 110 children from the Complex’s social services took part, along with children from other institutions. They also received special gifts from Bachkovo spring water. Afterwards some of the little ones were the first to test the refurbished computer room, drawing pictures on the new computers on the theme “Nature and Water”.
During the event the mayor of Yuzhen District, Borislav Inchev, and Mrs Nina Gargova, director of the Olga Skobeleva Social Care Complex, expressed their gratitude to the donors, and the children presented them with a special thank-you letter. Among the official guests were Veselin Kozarev, deputy mayor of Tsentralen District, as well as representatives of non-governmental organisations, volunteers and state institutions involved in child care.
