Augustiada 2017 - Wine and Cultural Heritage Festival

From 13 to 15 October 2017 the sixth edition of the Wine and Cultural Heritage Festival Augustiada 2017 was held at the Regional Historical Museum - Stara Zagora. Augusta Traiana is one of the ancient names of the city of Stara Zagora. The festival is among the leading ones in the calendar of wine exhibitions of Winesofa, the prestigious website for wine and adventure in Central and Eastern Europe. For the second time, a Queen of Augustiada 2017 is chosen. The tasting of a rich range of Bulgarian and foreign wines from leading companies ended with a vote for the best of them. The wines that received the most votes will carry the Augustiada mark - a Roman-era coin bearing the image of Emperor Caracalla. Guests of the event experienced culinary masterpieces by Bulgarian chefs, and the authentic atmosphere was combined with music, surprises and prizes. The combination of fine wine, food, concerts, lectures and master classes was complemented by the pleasant taste of Bachkovo spring water.
