“Mrs Bulgaria” is the most prestigious competition for married women in Bulgaria. It was first organised back in 1991. Its 19th edition took place on 27 October. More than 800 candidates competed for the crowns at the preliminary casting, and a special panel selected the 20 finalists, who vied for the titles “Mrs Bulgaria Universe”, “Mrs Bulgaria Europe”, “Mrs Bulgaria World” and “Mrs Bulgaria Earth”. Interest in the competition is growing among married women with university degrees and prestigious professions. This year it was held under the motto of Mrs Universe’s international campaign for women who have suffered violence - OneVoice. During the catwalk show a charity raffle was held in support of the international campaign. The funds raised through the charity will be given to a home for children with special needs.
