The Plovdiv Cycling Society “Tsar Simeon” is one of the oldest cycling societies in Bulgaria. It was founded on 11 March 1898. The society is a public-benefit organisation and carries out publicly useful activity - organising and conducting training and competition in the sport of cycling, helping the socially disadvantaged, disabled and needy former cyclists, and supporting their social integration and personal fulfilment. The society is a member of the Bulgarian Cycling Union. The awards won by the riders who proudly wear the club’s jersey are numerous. Executive director Yordan Zashev, the coaches, led by Petar Pavlov, and the people associated with them do everything in their power for the prosperity of the club and for the development of the young boys as competitors at world level. The Plovdiv Cycling Society “Tsar Simeon” is one of the few in the country whose ranks include riders of all age groups. The club has very good facilities.
